Great Ideas for Your Home

Remodeling can be an investment in your home and an investment in your lifestyle
Whether it is to completely personalize your home or to add value to
your investment, remodeling can be the perfect answer.
After the kids are gone many couples look to change the layout of
the home to meet the changing needs of their lifestyle. When couples
plan to stay in a home forever, remodeling is about suiting individual
needs, not increasing the resale value.
"If a couple is planning on living in a house until they die, they
shouldn't worry about resale value," says Chris Shurian, owner of
Classic Construction Services. "They should create a home that meets
their changing needs."
This can sometimes mean the couple has a one-bedroom home with a
large dining room to host Thanksgiving dinner and a children's playroom
downstairs for the grandkids.
For homeowners interested in resale value, Shurian suggests starting
simple - perhaps by redoing the kitchen or bathroom.
"Remodeling can really add up," he says. "Research has shown that
redoing a kitchen is the best remodeling investment followed by
bathrooms, which are a close second."
